Tour Expert is committed to making tourexpert.co accessible to as wide an audience as possible, including people with disabilities. This Accessibility Statement is published in accordance with EU Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies. Although as a private sector operator Tour Expert is not legally required by the Directive, we voluntarily adopt its standards as a matter of good practice and commercial commitment.
1. Our Accessibility Standard
We aim to conform to Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
2. Known Accessibility Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, we acknowledge the following current limitations:
- Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working to remediate these.
- Some embedded maps (Google Maps) may not be fully keyboard-navigable. Text-based destination descriptions are always provided as an alternative.
- Some tour gallery images may have generic alt text. We are in the process of adding descriptive alt text to all images.

3. Technical Specifications
tourexpert.co is built on WordPress with the Elementor page builder. Accessibility relies on the following technologies being supported by your browser: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA. We have tested compatibility with the following assistive technologies: NVDA screen reader on Windows; VoiceOver on macOS and iOS; TalkBack on Android; keyboard-only navigation on desktop.
4. Physical Accessibility of Our Tours
Tour Expert offers guided tours that vary in physical accessibility:
- Some Kraków Old Town walking tours cover cobblestone streets and uneven terrain that may be challenging for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
- Private tours by car are available and can be customised for Travellers with mobility requirements.
- The Wieliczka Salt Mine has a lift option available, but some areas are accessible only via stairs.
- Please contact us before booking to discuss your specific requirements — we will always make every effort to accommodate you.
